    Description

    We're seeking a Technical Operations Support professional to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data used across our various systems. You'll work closely with the Transport Technology Operations Management Team to lead the processing and validation of data for the new Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVL).

    Contract: 12 Months

    Location: Dublin

    Your Impact:

    • Be the champion of data quality, spearheading the processing and validation of data entering our systems like AVL, planning systems, and business reporting tools.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within supported systems, ensuring smooth operations and optimal service delivery.
    • Actively participate in the software development lifecycle, contributing to testing, QA activities, and system enhancements.
    • Handle unforeseen data changes due to emergencies, maintaining reliable information for all stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with various teams to improve processes, system performance, and ultimately, the customer experience.

    Who You Are:

    • A data management expert with a minimum of 5 years' experience, ideally in a data science or information technology field.
    • Skilled in working with SQL databases and managing projects and people.
    • Detail-oriented with a knack for prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
    • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively influence stakeholders and drive positive change.

    Bonus Points:

    • Familiarity with public transport data specifications like NeTEx, GTFS, VDV, SIRI, and NaPTAN.
    • Experience with GIS or spatial data.
    • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma and/or ITIL principles.
    • A comprehensive grasp of data management best practices.
    • Knowledge of the fundamentals of real-time public transport systems.
    • Strong ability to define and understand business requirements.
