    Overview

    :

    The CO+I AI Delivery team is focused on delivering various platform services to our global AI customers. This role will require deep partnership throughout all of Microsoft as these programs will be on the leading edge of innovation and will include driving pilots and other experiments that shape our ongoing commitment to deliver AI platform services rapidly at cloud scale. We are part of Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I), the team behind one of the world's largest cloud infrastructures, responsible for powering all Microsoft online products and services as well as powering Microsoft's "Cloud First" mission. CO+I is focused on growth, efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. In this role you will be directly accountable for specific AI delivery schedules from signal, through construction, all the way to service live and leverage resources throughout the company to deliver to the expectations of the customer.

    We're looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to manage critical AI Infrastructure deployment projects, deliver GPU-specific data center retrofit services, and drive related continuous improvement projects. The ideal candidate delivers through ambiguity, fosters collaboration, and builds trusted partnerships, and balances delivery and scaling.

  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Experience of large-scale global program management in either infrastructure technology deployments or capacity planning for cloud services.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Microsoft office suite. Some SQL & PowerBI experience.

    • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Leads teams to perform experiments to test hypotheses and inform decisions. Establishes clarity of root problems and trends, and leads process improvements. Facilitates collaboration between their team and partner teams to bring about solutions.

    • Product/Service Definition

  • Leads and coaches teams to develop problem statements and hypotheses for features across divisional boundaries.
  • Leads teams to perform experiments to test hypotheses and inform decisions. Establishes clarity of root problems and trends and leads process improvements.
  • Facilitates collaboration between their team and partner teams to bring about solutions.
  • Drive broad initiatives across the organization.
  • Define organizational strategies for managing a diverse portfolio of products.

    • Product/Service Development

  • Acts as a subject matter expert in orchestrating and integrating efforts for the development and implementation of features on large cross-functional projects. Drives collaboration and coordination across teams to ensure alignment on product management and release.
  • Guides teams to partner with engineering to contribute, prioritize, and deliver on the roadmap for features. Drives teams to understand the value proposition and justify capacity requirements. Partners with engineering to ensure alignment with goal updates and tradeoffs.
  • Guides teams in tracking, coordinating, and communicating end-to-end project schedules for features. Ensures teams establish and monitor processes, track and manage dependencies, and make adjustments when projects are not aligned to schedules or goals.
  • Drives teams to develop the staging and implementation plan for piloting/release in alignment with OKRs and KPIs for features. Ensures teams collaborate with stakeholders to monitor progress and adjust as needed.
  • Helps teams lead governance programs and processes to ensure performance requirements and standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.

    • Product/Service Performance

  • Provides expertise in partnering with others to collect performance metrics, monitor and report on progress, and derive insights to improve development, iteration, and implementation of features. Leverages customer listening systems, telemetry, and engagements to develop insights on product performance and customer needs. Leads teams to form hypotheses, perform experiments, and iterate to drive improvement in specific performance metrics.
