Komal Mittal

My name is Komal Mittal. Currently, I work as a Research Associate specializing in 'Public Health and Sociology' at the Center for Human Progress, and I am also a 'Global Youth Mentor' with the  Protect Our Planet (POP) Movement. My research work focuses on public health and climate issues, particularly the self-care practices of marginalized communities in India, Mexico, USA, and Nigeria and I have led a national youth group promoting leadership and advocacy for the Sustainable Development Goals. I have presented research papers and reports on public health at national and international conferences, and I have received the Research Excellence Award 2020 for my study on ‘Extraction of Collagen Protein from Acid Soluble Collagen from Soybean Seeds’ . I have also co-authored a book entitled  ‘Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights: Self-care for Achieving Universal Health Coverage’ with Dr. Saroj Pachauri, Public Health Specialist and Dr. Ash Pachauri, Director at Center for Human Progress. I am also involved in the C20 working group, a sub-group to the G20 Summit, working on policy recommendations and ideation replication which recently have been recognized as the G20's Best Practice Udharan by Civil Society Group. I am passionate about working on development issues and communications, and I hope to contribute my skills and experience to raise awareness in different fields of human life. I am committed to preserving the environment, empowering communities, and promoting youth and community action for improving the quality of life. I am eager to interview for any position available to showcase my capacities, capabilities, and passion for research. I believe that this association will be a vital component in discovering new knowledge and contributing to the field of healthcare. As a young woman, I am enthusiastic about learning, growing, and contributing to society, and I believe an association in public health in Ireland would be an ideal pathway for me.
