    What is the opportunity

    This role will manage the budgeting and forecasting for the ROI business. It will help drive superior business performance through high quality financial analysis of business cases, looking for opportunities to make valuable contributions to and drive efficiency in the ROI business.

    This is a 12-month contract opportunity

    In the role you will

    • Directly support the Commercial Partners on strategic initiatives and business issues.
    • Provide expert financial analysis and scenario analysis for business cases, including pricing, product, distribution and efficiency decisions.
    • Use performance benchmarking and market insights to drive better business decision making and deliver optimal value to our customers.
    • Work collaboratively across Commercial Partnering Ireland, Treasury and Group Finance.
    • Help create a culture which promotes inclusion and diversity, customer focus, accountability, agility and one team.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Qualified accountant with 3 years PQE or extensive experience gained within a relevant business environment.

    More about the team

    Group Planning and Commercial Decisioning's ambition is to ensure that the Group strategy is aligned to, and embedded in Group financials, ensuring that senior management are regularly provided with key insights into business performance ensuring delivery of the Group's strategic priorities.

    The team comprises of the planning team, the income and cost commercial decisioning teams as well as the financial management reporting team. Collectively these teams work on a collaborative basis to ensure that senior management are informed on business performance and have up to date forecast and financial plans to inform decision making.

    As well as responding to frequent ad-hoc requests, key actions for the team include the ICAAP (including FLI and RAROC), EBA Stress Test, quarterly forecast (P&L/BS/ volume/NIM) to support IMS updates, Monthly Group Financial Reporting (Insight & analysis) and supporting/influencing the Group Strategic financial plan.

    This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration -exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
