We are working with a leading provider of advanced diagnostic equipment, dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes worldwide. The Dublin Manufacturing Site plays a pivotal role in producing cutting-edge diagnostic products that adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Manufacturing to lead the operations team, drive high-performance behaviors, and contribute to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development:
Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to inspire and motivate the operations team, including managers, team leaders, test technicians, and production operators.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, working closely with multiple departments to drive alignment and achieve common goals.
Provide coaching, support, and recognition to individuals and teams, developing a culture of empowerment and continuous growth.
Create succession planning roadmaps and talent pipelines to ensure a strong and capable workforce.
2. Manufacturing Process Management:
Take overall responsibility for manufacturing and test processes, ensuring adherence to stringent health & safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Lead the implementation of newly developed products into production, making core decisions based on technical and process expertise.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, championing best practices and optimizing site performance metrics.
Strategically focus on performance improvements, swiftly addressing line issues and removing barriers to productivity.
3. Strategic Contribution and Decision Making:
As a member of the Senior Site Leadership Team, contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business and site.
Support the Managing Director during their absence, highlighting the criticality and seniority of this role.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver complex solutions that align with the business's strategic objectives.
Analyse and work through complex issues, utilising analytical abilities to make informed decisions.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration and Reputation Building:
Build strong relationships with other departments to optimise performance and productivity across the organisation.
Network across the wider business to learn and implement best practices, enhancing the site's reputation globally.
Collaborate with local agencies to grow the site's reputation within Ireland, positioning it as a leader in the industry.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven track record in driving change and working strategically in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, with an empowered leadership style.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical expertise in the instrumentation products domain.
Excellent analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering effective solutions to complex challenges.
Strategic mindset, goal-focused, and passionate about continuous improvement.
Ability to take ownership, accountability, and responsibility for delivering results.
Effective communicator with the capability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organisation.
