The Digital Marketing Manager will be tasked with delivering ground breaking, data-driven digital initiatives. Collaborating with the Head of Precision Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in leading Diageo's Digital Transformation in Ireland. This involves collaboration with key internal collaborators and agency partners to develop extraordinary digital plans, consistently driving category and brand growth.
Part of the team's overarching mission is to future-proof our organization, crafting a differentiated advantage for Diageo by adapting to changing consumer, media, and market landscapes in an agile and impactful manner.
Significant activation through precision marketing is identified as key to fueling growth at Diageo. This necessitates transformation across various areas, including synchronized omni-channel and data-driven approaches to consumer and customer activation strategy, activity design and execution, performance measurement and optimization, building capability, as well as implementing new ways of working.
TOP RESPONSIBILITIES
• Influence and build digital and data-driven marketing capability within Diageo and its agency partners to drive effective digital media planning, delivering growth. Act as a subject matter authority, leading projects proactively and independently, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead and support data-driven digital plans, running budgets, working with senior team members and external partners. Use data, insights, and econometrics to evaluate, report business results, and optimize performance.
• Support and challenge teams and agencies to deliver amazing creatives tailored for channels, tactics, and expected outcomes. Assist in the development of best-in-class dynamic digital creative using the latest technology and best practices.
• Set and evolve a learning agenda to accelerate data-driven marketing in Diageo. Disseminate standard processes and stay informed on industry trends, providing regular inspiration to teams.
• Support and advise on the development of a consumer data management martech roadmap and adtech stack to sustain and evolve precision marketing activity at Diageo Ireland.
• Ensure that all precision marketing activities uphold governance standards and legal compliance requirements with partners, agencies, and vendors.
• Support and upskill Marketing and Commercial team members in planning, designing, and implementing data-driven marketing campaigns, understanding performance, and developing intelligence for more performant future activation.
IDEAL EXPERIENCES / QUALIFICATIONS / CAPABILITIES
• Expert professional (5 years+ experience) with sophisticated paid digital media advertising strategy and data-driven marketing expertise on a portfolio client within an in-house marketing or agency environment. Passionate digital expert with a deep understanding of how digital and media work within a CPG business model.
• Meticulous with adaptability to changing work environments, resilient, and quick to learn new things. Great teammate in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep personal accountability for phenomenal performance, meeting or exceeding targets and KPIs, and adaptable to evolving marketing trends and technologies. Drive alignment in cross-functional teams, encouraging collaboration, and inspiring high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork. Capable of delivering clear and compelling narratives to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills, utilizing a data-driven approach to decision-making and optimization. Driving cross-channel audience strategies and implementing a test-and-learn approach to media effectiveness.
