    Aramark is currently recruiting for a Quality and Safety Director for Ireland. Reporting directly to the President of Ireland, the role holder will oversee the Quality and Safety strategy for Ireland and ensure everyone is working within the Health and Safety laws and Aramark policies. The Quality and Safety Director will be a member of the Ireland Executive Leadership Team. This individual will be accountable for driving a safety culture, establishing policies and being a champion of best practice that will create and maintain a safe environment for colleagues and customers across Aramark Ireland. The incumbent of this position will develop and maintain the overall strategy, priorities, and direction for the business, they will have ultimate responsibility for leading people which will encompass supporting the organization to embed our Vision, Mission & Values.

    Job Responsibilities


    • Maintaining all external Food Safety & Quality Accreditation, legal requirements, and Customer prerequisites across all sites.

    • Support delivery of all Food Service customer technical requirements.

    • Alignment of Food Safety & Quality Standards and policies across the Aramark & Avoca business.

    • To complete food safety audits in accordance with legal and client driven requirements in line with specific country codes.

    • To keep your Line Manager / Lead Auditor appraised of client requests during audits.

    • Allow shadow and witness audits from the client, your lead auditor or senior team as required.

    • Appropriate internal audit and governance processes in place to monitor and report on performance vs KPI, acting as the overall programme owner for Quality and Safety governance across all functions within Ireland and ensuring that the full Quality & Safety programme is aligned with the global programme and industry best practices and standards.

    • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers, employees, and the Ireland leadership team on Quality & Safety matters.

    • Establishing annual plans and collaborating with key stakeholders to integrate Quality & Safety objectives and programme of works.

    • Assessing impacts of emerging issues and changing business strategies as it relates to Quality & Safety programmes and initiatives.

    • Lead and mentor a team of Quality & Safety professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering their professional growth.

    • Coordinating the safety teams and operational management to drive a positive safety culture and drive the key understanding behind the Aramark goal of target zero.

    • Coordinating the Quality & Safety teams in ensuring compliance with country specific safety regulations and ISO standards.

    • Extrapolating relevant leading and lagging indicators from collated Quality & Safety performance data to inform opportunities for continual improvement.

    • Reviewing collated incident data at regular intervals with the safety team in terms of root cause analysis, lessons learned to ensure effective learnings and actions are implemented.

    • Reporting incident trends at regular intervals to executive team and agreeing on strategies for improvements to be implemented.

    • Serve as a point of contact for safety regulatory agencies and represent the organisation in relevant industry forums.

    Qualifications


    • Hold a diploma or degree qualification in Safety.

    • Minimum of 7- 10 years of progressively responsible, successful experience in a senior Health & Safety role

    • Demonstrate experience in maintaining and actively participating in all elements of ISO management systems.

    • Proven experience in a senior H&S role is essential.

    • In-depth knowledge of local and government regulations and standards

    • Possess the ability to lead health and safety projects and influence at an executive and senior level.

    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to collate and present business reports and provide insights.

    • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach

    • Proven track record in conducting effective investigations, audits, inspections, and compiling comprehensive reports and recommendations.

    • Need to be based in Ireland.
