This role will oversee AML/CTF and Sanctions operations, including but not limited to alerts clearing, transaction monitoring and suspicious activities reporting. This role requires extensive knowledge of AML operations in the E.U. and experience of the Middle East would also be beneficial. A team player and leader with strong regulatory compliance knowledge, payments system development, leadership abilities, and a passion for collaboration across multiple departments.Responsibilities- Establish and maintain a regional AML Operations program relevant to Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC), across all functional domains of AML and across all countries in the EMEA region.- Manage the day-to-day operations function over our EMEA AML operations(including KYC, Transaction Monitoring and Name screening, etc.)- Responsible for building and maintaining metrics and visibility into a dynamic AML operations including KYC, Transaction Monitoring, Name screening and Reporting- Oversee staffing and case volumes to ensure AML investigations are timely dispositioned- Contributes to the assessment and validation of controls for AML processes and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulations- Contributes to efforts to develop a strong compliance culture and increase organizational awareness of compliance roles and responsibilities- Uses strong relationships with cross functional groups to increase the likelihood of timely completion of compliance activities and responses to AML operations reports requested by regulatory agencies or external/internal audit groups.- Implements corrective action and issue tracking in alignment with established policies- Reviews reporting produced by the team and appropriately escalates issues to more senior managers- Develop and implement metrics to maximize operation effectiveness

    Qualifications

    Qualifications- Prior experience in leading and establishing an AML operations team is a must- As a leader, exercise considerable autonomy, the ability to deal with major issues for which there is no clear cut solution while still being able to provide judgement and clear direction.- Be able to work well with senior executives in AML and across the team, particularly the FCC & AML Heads in the region and at the Group level- Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders and exercise sound judgement- Expert of major international AML regulations and familiarity of FCC regulatory regimes in the EMEA region- Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively- More than 10 years of experience in AML operations- Deep understanding of international product compliance regulations, standards, and best practices- Excellent leadership and team management skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills- Experience in system/product related projectsTikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
