  •   Promoting the prevention of healthcare-associated infections and providing expert advice and guidance to the staff, assuring a safe hospital environment.
  • Providing and Maintaining a comprehensive, efficient and effective Infection      Prevention Control service by assessing, identifying, developing, implementing and evaluating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with national recommendations and guidance. Ensure that information required to monitor KPIs relevant to HCAI/AMR is gathered, collated and provided to HCA / AMR Committee.
  • Demonstrate accountability in considering access, cost and clinical effectiveness when planning, delivering and evaluating person-centred nursing care.
  • Participating in teams /meetings /committees as appropriate, communicating and working in cooperation with other team members. Communicate assessments, treatments, and laboratory results verbally and in writing to the multidisciplinary team.  
  • Able to collaborate closely with the Consultant Clinical Microbiologist, hospital managers, and department heads to ensure quality infection prevention and control service is maintained. 
  • Knowledge of isolation procedures, advise relevant staff on isolation, and support managers in supervising the implementation of such techniques in specific situations.
