    Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    The purpose of the job is to support the delivery and maintenance of automated assembly lines by working across the programs and manufacturing engineering teams.

    The automation engineer works with the programs team to support the introduction of new assembly lines by generating/reviewing specification and design documentation. The automation engineer liaises with internal and external SME's to support the integration of new equipment into existing site production systems.

    The automation engineer works with the manufacturing engineering team to support production breakdowns and process improvement projects on an ongoing basis, working with a wide range of new and existing production equipment.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    · PLC programming( Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Siemens Step7/TIA por tal, Beckhoff TwinCat)

    · Cognex vision systems(Insight explorer & VisionPro)

    · Industrial robotics(Fanuc & Staubli)

    · Industrial networking( Ethernet/IP,TCP, Profinet)

    · Demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving

    · Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical faults

    · Ability to fault find complex automated assembly lines

    · Ability to assess machine data and assembly processes for possible improvements and contribute to continuous improvement projects

    · Experience of validation stages and protocols(FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, GR&R)

    · Ability to investigate novel issues, outside of usual experience and work towards a potential solution.

    · Provide training to technicians and engineers on resolving common issues

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
    · Experienced functional knowledge of mechanical/electronics/electrical/software application engineering.
    · Experienced functional knowledge of automation equipment assembly and installation.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    · B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
    · Minimum 3-5 years of working experiences in automation equipment design and installation.
    · Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
