    Description

    Overview

    Our database team is expanding, as a Development DBA with Oracle & PL/SQL you be part of our cross-functional team. You will focus on design and build, of shared platform infrastructure to maximize availability, reliability and performance. Analyzing and troubleshooting performance related issues.

    We work in a complex, distributed environment and continually strive to improve systems capacity, increase speed, ensure stability and mitigate risk in every system.

    What we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years' DBA experience, Oracle requiredExcellent understanding of SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning and database optimisationExperience building Highly Availability infrastructureStrong Understanding of Linux platforms (RHEL, SUSE)Strong scripting ability with bash, python and proficiency with configuration management tools like Ansible.Ability to work quickly in fast-paced environment and under pressureCapable of working independently and can self-assign work to be productiveExperience of change management processesExperience serving in a production support role including a 24x7 on-call rotation Personal Skills Initiative – proven record of seeking continuous improvement and implementing best practiceDesire and enthusiasm to learn and continually improve your skillset and knowledge.Self-motivated and creativeCollaborative with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) – ability to convey complex subjects in a clear and concise mannerAttention to detail – thorough in work carried outInterpersonal – friendly and approachableTeamwork – working together to meet deadlinesExcellent time management, organization and prioritization skills
