- Report to the CTO to plan, coordinate, execute and direct performance testing, server and database tuning to ensure ongoing performance of the SaaS platform.
- Configure, monitor & improve PostgreSQL databases
- Design & implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Troubleshoot database performance & data issues
- Assist development teams with database design & always ensuring database security best practices
- 4+ years experience in database performance tuning & DBA roles
- 2+ years of those years managing PostgreSQL databases in a production environment
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
- Experience working in a high volume transaction environment & supporting large production database environments
- Strong knowledge of SQL & database related technologies
- Experience with: Shell scripting; Linux; Amazon AWS & RDS
