    Description

    Director Quality Engineering - Chapter Leader

    As a Chapter Leader, you blend a deep commitment to optimizing delivery through agile and QE practices with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. You are committed to improving the value delivered to the customers. You collaborate with other leaders to establish standards for your chapter, influence strategic decision-making, and build solutions in your area of expertise. You manage a team of chapter members who primarily work within autonomous squads across product areas but report directly to you. You are dedicated to helping associates grow and develop in their knowledge area and ensure alignment on the "how" of the work they perform. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related subject area.
    • Consistent track record of functional and people leadership in a technology environment with validated experience.
    • Experience with Quality Engineering practices, and delivery in an Agile/Scrum environment.
    • Demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to create a psychologically safe space for associates, maintain good working relationships and influence internal and external partners.
    • Ability to fill the role of Quality Engineering Product owner, responsible for implementing a comprehensive Product Test Strategy.
    • Detailed understanding and hands-on experience with Test Automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, Karate or equivalents.
    • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins preferred.
    • Possessing strong technical skills including a broad understanding of relational databases, file processing, client/server, web-based, and cloud technologies.
