    Key Outcomes

  • Support the BUD and GHOP to ensure Department & Business Unit targets are achieved each month. Continuously work to identify business development opportunities to contribute to growing the PS/OS and wider On Demand business through procurement excellence
  • Implement a clear procurement strategy for the PharmaSource Retail, Hospital and OstomySource divisions in line with current strategic objectives and market demands to allow for future growth of the Business Unit over the next 1-3 years.
  • Oversee the efficient management of stock to guarantee customer demand is always met. Ensure PS & OS are partnering with high quality vendors, guaranteeing access to high quality products and continuity of supply for patients
  • Responsible for building upon and continuously implementing key risk mitigation strategies for stock and access to product
  • Execute existing strategy of direct to manufacturer access and management of relationships through negotiation
  • Routine analysis of competitors/market activity
  • Management of key internal stakeholders, Operations, Quality, Finance, HR
  • Champion of continuous process improvement
  • Effectively manage team (Sourcing Specialist, Team Lead and Supply Chain Planners) through clear strategy and objectively driven KPIs
  • Report on core areas monthly

  • Commercially focused and able to deliver KPI's on time, on budget and according to metrics
  • years' experience implementing strategy through effective team management
  • Self-starter who can operate effectively in a dynamic and fast paced organization
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and effectively manage internal and external relationships
  • Provides effective direction and guidance
  • Experienced in team management/negotiation/relationship management/commercial decision making
  • Excellent IT and Microsoft office capabilities
  • Relevant third level qualification
  • IIPMM/CIPS qualification preferred but not essential
  • All round procurement enthusiast

    This role will be based in our office in Citywest where a flexible hybrid working model is also available. It's important to achieve the right balance between face-to-face interactions with virtual working over the long term. Moreover, there will be flexibility required to interact with colleagues (i.e., it's not a '9 to 5' type of job).
