    Reliability Engineer - Ireland - Abbott Laboratories

    What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

    You will be working with cross functional teams, ensuring our PMs and corrective maintenance are effective and efficient. You will monitor, implement and maintain processes that help increase productivity.

    You will be an excellent communicator with all levels of the organisation and be able to work with a diverse set of individuals and teams. You have experiencing in working within a regulated environments and can work independently.

    Responsibilities

    Work with maximo system administrator to develop and manage KPIs and metrics relating to engineering services (and production as required). Work closely with production personnel to complete RCA on arising issues, using appropriate tools: 2 Whys; Fault Tree; Event Tree; Keppnor Tregoe, etc. Perform criticality analysis and either FMECA or RCM on new equipment arriving to site. Perform predictive analysis on data from Maximo and other system to predict failure and optimise PMs. Develop proactive maintenance procedures and practices. Create and monitor life cycle asset management plans. Engage with technicians, engineers and training department to assist in developing training plans on new equipment, for same. Provide technical support to engineers and technicians on production equipment. Monitor OEE and develop plans to improve as necessary. Provides in-house consulting activities to advise and counsel personnel on a variety of complicated processes/procedures, supported by detailed calculations and guided by cost-effective decisions and recommendations. Other related tasks as necessary.

    Qualifications/Experience

    • Efficiently use Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint essential)
    • Level 8 (honours degree) in engineering or related.
    • Experience with Maximo a distinct advantage.
    • Experience with tools like RCM, RCA, FMECA a distinct advantage
    • Maintenance/ reliability experience essential (5+ years)

    What does leadership look like?

    This role reports to Orlagh Costello, our Engineering Services Manager. You will join Orlagh's team of 11, working together to ensure reliable functioning of the production equipment.
