    Description

    EMEA VAT Compliance Specialist

    This opportunity is located in the Global Accounting Centre (GAC) in Dublin (Citywest D24) and currently offers a hybrid work environment. You'll be reporting directly to the EMEA Compliance VAT Manager.

    • Main Responsibilities:
    • Support in the submission of all VAT returns and other related filings (e.g. Intrastats, EC Sales Lists) in a timely manner for the EMEA entities of the group
    • Help ensure prompt payment/recovery of VAT balances
    • Enhance the quality of source data
    • Conduct necessary VAT reconciliations
    • Assist in refund claims under EC 8th and 13th Directives as required
    • Participate in VAT inspections and audits by collecting information and responding to requests
    • Profile:
    • Academic background with a bachelor's degree in accounting
    • 2 years of experience in VAT compliance with knowledge of co-sourcing/outsourcing processes
    • Experience with VAT and regulatory compliance in Europe or EMEA
    • Basic understanding of statutory accounting and other compliance activities
    • Familiarity with internal control processes in a corporate setting
    • Proficiency in common software like MS Office, Excel, Access, and company-specific applications
    • Knowledge of complex business system interactions and control challenges
    • Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
    • Ability to work independently with strong analytical skills
