- Facilitate improvements in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) processes and contribute to defining enhancements to the MES framework.
- By working closely with Production and the IS Department, ensure opportunities for streamlining information flows are identified and appropriate IT solutions are introduced that address Production needs.
- Support Production & Engineering in deploying and maintaining the MES systems.
- Assist in refining processes and implementing MES system(s) for new production lines and modifications, focusing on process improvements.
- Address reporting needs across various departments (Production, Quality, Engineering, etc.)
- Collaborate with multiple functions, including Information systems, Engineering, Finance, Operations and Logistics to drive successful MES implementations
- Manage the system configuration for products, ensuring their setup aligns with Production specifications and requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve software problems, applying analytical skills to diagnose errors, implement fixes, and enhance system performance and reliability
- Aid in analyzing training needs and delivering training within Production and Engineering on a wide array of IS technologies and standard procedures, including:
- Production Applications
- System troubleshooting methods.
- Implementing proper change management protocols for systems.
- Ensuring uniform system configuration and deployment.
- Basic IS/IT technology knowledge (Operating Systems, Networking, Security & Anti-Virus precautions, etc.).
- University degree in Computer science or engineering
- 2 Years Experience within Electronics Manufacturing Environment (ideally Automotive Electronics)
- Experience with SQL database
- Software engineering experience an advantage
- Experience with Windows / Linux operating systems
- Experience with Vision based products/applications would be beneficial.
- Experience in document writing is required, i.e. procedures, specifications, reports, etc.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing execution systems and traceability required.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
