    The Role

    The Commercial Affairs Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial operations, managing, and negotiating client contracts and building relationships both with our clients and across the business.

    This is a hybrid working role reporting to our VP, Group Commercial Affairs. Occasional international travel may be required.

    Key responsibilities

    Business Partnering

    • Foster excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and senior management.
    • Provides regular status updates.

    Contract Management

    • Lead negotiations and management of client contracts (MSAs and SOWs), ensuring alignment with business requirements whilst maintaining high quality standards.
    • Collaborate with legal and operational teams to draft, review, and finalize agreements with clients in a timely manner.
    • Understand how budgets are created and be able to negotiate price within fixed parameters.

    Business Metrics

    • Track, manage and improve contract related metrics that demonstrate customer service.

    Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners to ensure customer satisfaction and foster long-term collaborations.
    • Address and resolve concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.

    Problem Solving

    • Analyse information to solve problems and present proposed solutions to Management.

    Communication and Negotiation

    • Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills in engagements with internal teams and external clients.
    • Effectively convey complex information and negotiate deals that align with the company's objectives.

    What skills and experience you bring to the role

    • Keen eye for detail.
    • Excellent organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to solve problems, analyse information and achieve quality standards.
    • Strong analytical and financial management abilities.
    • Flexible and able to operate in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
    • Minimum of a bachelor's level degree.
    • Proven experience in a commercial affairs / contracting role. Some background in working with Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical industry is preferable.
