    Description

    Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer / Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education (Commencing 1 Sept within UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics.**

    University College Dublin is seeking to appoint a Lecturer / Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education in the UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics. The successful candidate will be offered a specified purpose appointment covering a member of staff whilst on maternity leave (estimated duration 9mths).

    UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics, along with the College of Science and the School of Education, offers four programmes in Science and Mathematics Education. These programmes are aimed at educating post-primary Mathematics and Science teachers, and are accredited by the Teaching Council.

    The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's teaching programmes and engage in research in some aspect of Mathematics Education.

    95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (below the bar) Salary Scale: €38,659 - €67,001 per annum

    Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
