    Job Title : Assistant Professor in GermanPay Scale : Lecturer Closing Date : 10-May :00Contact Email : The Department of Germanic Studies in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies at Trinity College Dublin welcomes applications for a fixed-term post as Assistant Professor in German Literature and Culture for a fixed period (Aug 2024 to Jan The purpose of the post is to cover teaching arising out of the retirement of the current Chair of German until a new Chair of German is appointed and in place. This post is full-time, fixed-term. Applicants must be available to start August 2024. The assistant professor salary scale is €36,469 - €95,441. Appointments will be made in line with public pay, new entrant salary will be no higher than point 8 on scale (€55,384). SLLCS is made up of 7 departments (French, Germanic Studies, Hispanic Studies, Italian, Irish and Celtic Languages, Near and Middle Eastern Studies, Russian and Slavonic Studies) and 8 Centres. The School enjoys a very high international reputation in its teaching and research and attracts highly qualified and motivated students from Ireland and internationally. Since its inception, it has consistently been ranked in the top 100 Modern Languages Schools in the QS subject rankings.
