    Description

    My client - a leading Renewable Energy Business is seeking to hire a Commercial Contracts Manager. In this role your responsibility will involve overseeing contracts for existing assets and conducting negotiations with partners for new commercial contracts. You will be tasked with developing and managing engagements with partners on various contract structures, including Corporate PPAs, renewable gas offtake agreements such as Biomethane and Green Hydrogen.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the broader team to spearhead and bolster origination and business development activities.
    • Take the lead in contract negotiations and identify opportunities for additional revenue or cost reductions by revising contracting arrangements with clients.
    • Establish a robust contract management unit and implement relevant processes for the business, especially aligned with the Energy Park Strategy.
    • Develop a roadmap and improvement plan to optimize the key commercial value drivers for each asset within the business.
    • Oversee the onboarding of new projects and contract structures with potential customers and counterparties.
    • Actively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure the achievement of both personal and team objectives.

    Requirements:

    • Third level degree in a discipline with a high level of numerical, analytical and/or financial content. (Engineering, Finance, Science, Data Science)
    • 5-7 years' experience in ISEM trading, ideally with Battery and Solar experience.
    • Knowledge of Power Purchase Agreements, Commercial Contracts, ISEM and the analysis of market drivers is essential.
    • Excellent commercial acumen and significant experience in negotiating and managing large Commercial Contracts.
    • Experience in Renewable Energy Contracting, Financial Modelling, Gas markets.
    • Advanced MS Excel skills (Macros, pivot tables etc).
