    My client has a requirement for a Senior Procurement Professional to take the lead on specific procurement projects relating to ongoing strategic projects. These procurement projects are high complexity, requring a skilled communicator, contract negotations and stakeholder management skills.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Advising on supply market analysis and conducting market consultations
    • Management of procurement process of tender competitions
    • Acting as the procurement advisor on relevant project steering committees
    • Liaising with both in-house and external legal advisors on the drafting of tender and contractual documentation;
    • Coordinating and chairing dialogue and evaluation meetings with tenderers
    • Drafting of applicable procurement documents
    • Support the inclusion of sustainable and green practices
    • Advising appropriate method of procurement with reference to appropriate legislation,
    • Publishing tender advertisements on both eTenders website and European Journal
    • Agreeing contract changes with relevant suppliers and managing the execution of contracts

    Key Competencies

    · Knowledge of Public Spending Code;

    · Experience working with the eTenders

    · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    · Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and as leader of a group.

    · Good analytical ability, with a logical approach to problem solving and sound judgement;

    · Capacity to proactively and constructively contribute to team tasks;

    · Strong organisational and administrative skills;

    · Strong MS Office and MS Excel skills;

    · Ability to communicate and interact effectively with stakeholders

    · Ability to organise and prioritise workloads to meet procurement deadlines.
