    Description

    Responsibilites

    • Lead and coordinate Services Health and Safety function.
    • Ensure each service location has a Site Specific Safety Statement.
    • Manage safety incidents in compliance with Services policy.
    • Report incidents appropriately and promptly.
    • Conduct regular inspections for Health & Safety policy implementation.
    • Investigate and report on serious/critical personal injury accidents.
    • Assist in collecting data for legal proceedings related to accidents.
    • Disseminate learning from incidents across the Services.
    • Advise on and ensure compliance with legislation and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with Facilities Manager on health, safety, and fire safety.
    • Increase health and safety awareness, promoting best practices.
    • Support managers in preparation for HSA & HIQA inspections.
    • Keep records of HSA inspection findings and develop action plans.
    • Liaise with Health and Safety representatives, addressing concerns.
    • Respond promptly to employees' safety concerns.
    • Assist with queries related to insurance cases from workplace accidents.
    • Report incidents and accidents to HSA and NIMS as required.

    Qualifications

    • Degree level in Environmental Health & Safety / Occupational Health & Safety.
    • 3+ Years experience in a similar role
    • Manual Handling Instructors Course
