    Position Description:
    We are seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer as a key member of our team. The successful applicant will be based in our Galway office (hybrid role) and will be joining Channel Mechanics at a key point in our expansion. We are building out our QA team to enhance our test efforts and expand our integrated platform capabilities. This is an ideal opportunity to be part of a growing team.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Work within a cross functional team to understand the software product solution.
    • Lead the QA testing effort within a designated Agile Squad (Scrum team).
    • Design and create test plans and test scenarios by collaborating within squad team.
    • Design and document test cases and test data within Azure DevOps.
    • Work with the test automation team to define test cases suitable for automation.
    • Execute manual test cases (functional, regression, and backward compatibility testing) and support automated test execution.
    • Creation and tracking of issue reports raised as a result of testing.
    • Impact analysis of issue resolution and re-testing of fixes.
    • Regular reporting of test results based on agreed milestones.
    • Deal with customer support cases and build into test cases for future releases.
    • Provide feedback to developers and product managers around UX based testing outcomes.
    • Provide feedback to the QA team on optimization of test methods and help propose and drive new solutions for improved test coverage.

    Work Experience and Education:

    • 7+ years' experience in a software testing role.
    • Excellent knowledge and experience in Agile Methodology.
    • Knowledge of Selenium Test Automation is desirable.
    • Proficient in creating test cases and identifying test scenarios.
    • Excellent understanding of Test Planning, Test Management and Test Execution.
    • Experienced in Bug life cycle, Defect management, Defect tracking and Defect
      summarization reports.
    • Expertise in Functional, Regression, Compatibility testing and Cross browser testing.
    • E xperience of working on various bug tracking and management tools like Dev Ops
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
