    Description

    Excellent opportunity for an EHS Specialist to join a global Leader in Medical Devices based in Galway . The EHS Specialist will support the development of EHS programmes to make EHS an integral part of site operations in Galway.

    Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request)

    • Leads implementation and improvement of ISO 45001:2018 management system.
    • Plans, develops, delivers, and documents EHS compliance training.
    • Manages EHS communications.
    • Prepares for and participates in EHS inspections and system audits.
    • Supports life safety programs, including emergency response, on the site.
    • Manages chemical systems compliance (ATEX, SEVESO, REACH).
    • Develops safety management system , including risk assessments and hazard control.
    • Handles accident and incident management , including investigations and corrective actions.
    • Focuses on Behavioral Safety and Industrial Hygiene.
    • Involvement in Occupational Health.
    • Experience with ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001, and IPC Licence is advantageous.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:

    • Level 8 degree in a relevant EHS discipline.
    • Possesses over 2 years of EH&S experience.
    • Demonstrates understanding and a robust support network in EH&S matters.
    • Knowledgeable about legislative requirements and systems for effective EH&S practices.
