Morgan McKinley is collaborating with a leading provider of Automation Solutions to expand their inhouse Engineering Team as part of a solid pipeline of work and ambitious multi-year expansion plan.

As an Automation Engineer, you will join an established multidisciplinary team that delivers automated equipment solutions, from concept to full implementation. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain diverse experience in designing high-tech engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and integrate control system software for automated machines, including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, and Vision
- Develop, test, commission, and support machine control software
- Design equipment following CE, electrical, machinery safety, and clients' standards
- Interpret and develop design and validation documentation required for regulated industries (URS, FDS, FAT, etc)
- Specify control system components
- Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout the entire project life cycle

Skills, Attributes & Experience:
- Minimum Level 7 qualification in an Engineering-related discipline
- 5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer in a regulated environment
- PLC & HMI experience is desirable, preferably with Allen Bradley or Siemens platforms
- Knowledge of automated machine design, specification, and development
- Ability to create technical documentation
- Familiarity with robotics, motion control, machine vision, and pneumatics is advantageous
- Experience in collaborating with large multifunctional teams and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong communication and negotiation skills required, solutions-focused with a problem-solving attitude
