    What is the Opportunity?

    With roles for qualified and part-qualified financial accountants, we have an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to expand their knowledge and experience in Retail Banking.

    You will hone risk and control skills and build an understanding of the regulatory environment underpinning the Group's regulatory reporting obligations. They are hands-on roles in a multifaceted environment which affords you exposure across the wide regulatory reporting spectrum.

    You will be in a position to build relationships across the Group Finance function, gain exposure to all the different businesses, position yourself within the finance world for opportunities across a broad range of teams, and contribute towards and enable change and transformation within our function.

    In this role, you will:

    • Coordinate and prepare divisional performance management updates for your business area and key partners.
    • Provide meaningful commercial commentary/reports analysing business performance, costs, contractors and engage with senior partners within the division.
    • Manage and track the costs including accruals and reporting and conduct financial control activities including month-end, SAP postings, and reconciliations.
    • Prepare and monitor forecasts and cost budgets for various units as part of the Group planning process.

    You have experience in accounting processes and systems along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and modelling skills and a consistent record in multitasking. You have worked with cross-functional teams, managing your time independently, in a constantly evolving environment.

    Along with demonstrated experience of developing good professional working relationships, you also have the ability to work effectively with, and constructively challenge and influence the actions of our partners.

    In addition, you are a quick learner who can take on new systems to support business needs with excellent interpersonal skills.

    The Finance & Accounting Division made up of both core finance and Group-wide functions, performs a key management and control function in ensuring all Group financial and management reporting processes are appropriately governed.

    We support the Group by providing insights and analysis that drive Group decision-making. We ensure appropriate governance over all financial and management reporting activities and are accountable for the delivery of statutory, regulatory, and external reporting, including budgeting and forecasting.
