    Our client provides professional IT support for SME businesses. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Field Engineer to join their team.

    For this role, our client is looking for an IT support engineer with a track record of dealing with on-site installations to help drive their company forward. You'll benefit from training and excellent career progression prospects.

    Covering primarily the greater Tipperary area, you will be responsible for on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of all client hardware. This will include servers, computers, laptops and printers etc.

    As an IT Field Engineer, you will also install, configure and maintain client software, such as MS 365 and Azure, Virtual environments, Hyper V, VMWare, Veeam, communication equipment including switches, routers, firewalls and mobile devices.

    Your other duties will include:

    Problem solving and troubleshooting issues on-site and remotely

    Customer account management

    Training and transferring knowledge to clients

    Managing and communicating with 3rd party vendors

    To be considered, you must have:

    Experience in an IT support or field engineer role, dealing with on-site installations, configurations, and maintenance of client hardware

    Sound knowledge of MS 365, Azure and AD

    Server installation/migration and administration experience including Virtual environments (Hyper V, VMWare, Veeam)

    Knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches and remote access servers

    A full driving license

    As an IT Field Engineer, you must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal. Strong problem solving, troubleshooting skills and documentation are also key.

    A degree in computer science or another technically related subject is required.
