    Education

    · Professionally qualified ideally degree and/or master's educated in a relevant scientific, engineering, business or marketing discipline.

    Experience

    · 8+- years' experience as Sales or Business Development Manager/Engineer in an engineering, manufacturing, technical sales or commercial capacity.

    Job purpose/summary:

    The primary function of the Technical Sales Executive is to sell technical products and services directly to customers. Responsible for promoting, demonstrating, and explaining the features and benefits of technical products and services to potential customers. Their primary objectives are to find leads and close sales in order to increase revenue for the company.

    By providing excellent customer experience, service and support, they can help build long-term relationships with customers and ensure repeat business.

    Key Accountabilities and decision ownership:

    · Responsible for Sales across the Expo Process Analytics Portfolio of devices.

    · Market research and identification aligned to company strategy and product portfolio.

    · Market penetration planning and full-funnel management to achieve rapid growth of the company.

    · In-depth technical product knowledge to allow for front-end specification and product selection.

    · Provide commercial quotations that address technical and commercial items to ensure the delivery of products and services.

    · Organise and attend exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and events to generate leads and meet existing customers.

    · Contribute to pricing and margin analysis to ensure profitability is maintained.

    · Full input to sales forecasting.

    · Working with Directors to complete and build Service Level Agreements and Maintenance Packages for customers and pricing same.

    · Present technical presentations to potential and existing clients.

    · Input to strategic commercial objectives and long-term commercial plan for the business.

    · Provide the voice of the customer in the R&D process and create a detailed business plan justifying the investment in products and services.

    · Manage accounts post sales, ensuring smooth integration of devices and services and addressing any issues to maintain customer satisfaction

    Key Performance Objectives

    · Sales Pipe Line

    · Create and maintain a sales pipeline value sufficient to meet sales targets at target conversion rates

    · Manage opportunity conversion of > 50%

    · Meeting and/or exceeding sales targets on a quarterly basis for an exponential growth trajectory

    · Manage the sales budget, including travel, technical support, exhibitions and promotional activities as required.

    Skills, know-how & experience:

    Must have - preferred:

    · Degree qualified in a technical or business discipline and/or significant relevant industry experience.

    · Experience selling in the powder industries, especially pharmaceutical, food, and agriculture.

    · Experience selling to end-users and OEMs, understanding the processes required and tailoring the approach as needed.

    · The individual must be able to identify potential customers, develop relationships, and generate leads.

    · They use their technical knowledge and expertise to understand customer needs/pains and offer solutions that meet those needs.

    · Must also be able to explain technical information in a way that is easy for customers to understand and address any questions or concerns that customers may have.

    · Good experience in lead generation sourcing, networking and bringing new leads to business.

    · Experience of CRM systems and analysing the sales process end-to-end.

    · Presentation skills, both virtual and in-person, are required.

    · Strong network of industry contacts in pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, agribusiness, crop science/life sciences.

    · Involvement in PAT Process Analytical Technology is preferred.

    · Willingness for local and overseas travel (typically, 30-60% of the time will be spent travelling).

    · Enthusiastic and hungry to generate business. A team motivator with a 'can do' outlook.

    · An ability to get things done. Completes and finishes work with no loose ends.

    · Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and make confident decisions.

    · Broad awareness and appreciation of differing global business cultures.

    · Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.

    · Ability to work with minimal supervision (self-starter).

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface with all parts of the business internally and with customers and suppliers.

    Nice to have:

    · Previous experience or exposure to Process Analytics or dealing with global Pharmaceutical (Animal Health Pharma also considered), Neutraceutical, Food and/or agri business sectors.

    Technical/professional qualifications:

    · Degree qualified in a relevant science or engineering discipline (e.g. Chemical & Process, Electronic & Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Design, , Biomedical) and/or Business, Marketing.
