    What is the opportunity?


    As Test Delivery Lead, you will provide Leadership and encourage Continuous Improvements/Innovation in the Test delivery within the Core Mainframe Factory with support from Test Centre for Enablement (TC4E) team.

    The successful candidate will also embed and mature the Test operating model across the Factory, increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and providing certainty of outcome aligning to the Group Test Competency Model.

    This is an opportunity to take responsibility for the quality of all new test resources within the division through ensuring the appropriate partner and hiring processes are in place and aligned with Group Test sourcing strategy

    In this Role, you will:

    • Lead Test delivery having 30 + Testing professionals from multiple vendor organisations and chair regular communication and training meetings
    • Work with TC4E to drive test transformation initiatives to improve the quality and automation of test delivery
    • Review Test approaches/Strategy and provide inputs to ensure team aligns to Group Test Strategy
    • Provide an interface for the general communication between the Test team, TC4E and key partners including Project Management, Business Analysis & EMS (Environment Management Services) team
    • Work with the Programme Managers to match supply and demand
    • Support capability development to drive banks strategic requirements
    • Ensure all projects test delivery is compliance to the Banks TC4E delivery methodology for testing and ensuring exceptions are documented and agreed where applicable.
    • Implement a collaborative environment towards testing while building the Environment for constructive challenge.

    What will make you stand out?


    You are an IT Test Manager experienced with the technical tools for both Manual & Automated testing but more importantly the leadership skills to lead a team of resources with the right skill, knowledge, and experience for delivering testing outcomes for BOI (Bank of Ireland). The Test manager needs to motivate and lead the team to ensure quality software is delivered to our customers.

    You have a proven track record in negotiation and stakeholder management skills and a desire to embrace challenge to drive more effective and efficient outcomes.

    You are an innovative leader that fosters teamwork, a willingness to learn while finding innovative solutions. You are a good teammate who is comfortable communicating with senior collaborators while supporting and directing the work of our offshore team.

    The Engineering & Delivery area is responsible for the build, test and implementation of key systems that serve both our internal and external customers. As well as providing the build services the area also provides Design capability to projects alongside development and testing environments and full project testing capability. Our team works very closely with the Change Team and Technology Services.

    The IT Engineering & Delivery function is central to Bank of Ireland and provides technology delivery services to support the Banks key strategic objectives

    This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in person collaboration exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
