    Cybersecurity Consultant - Incident Response

    As part of Dubex' Incident Response Team (DIRT), you will join a highly experienced team of 8 Incident Response consultants working cross functional to ensure the right advice and process to locate, isolate and remedy security incidents.

    Dubex Incident Response Team

    Working in Dubex Incident Response Team "Dubex IRT" you join a highly experienced team that ensures the right advice and process to locate, isolate and remedy security incidents. You will be part of Dubex Technical Services that handles customer onboardings of Dubex services, all from Incident Response (IR), Managed Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), threat hunting, forensics etc.

    The Dubex IRT is a cross functional team that has 8 dedicated people (excluding the Service Owner and team manager Peter), from the different departments in Dubex. There will at any time be 3 people on-call, one week at a time.

    Dubex Technical Services consists of cybersecurity consultants, who with a mix of technical competencies and seniority, advise customers on cybersecurity all from architecture to strategy in different projects. You will be a part of diversified team of skilled cybersecurity professionals, that are eager to share experiences and collaborate in creating the best cybersecurity solutions.

    Dubex IRT is the result of many years of experience in building a strong and responsive organisation with strong efforts in how to set the right team and process for incident handling. Today, Dubex IR service is running on its 6th generation and is in high demand from customers. It has become a strategic focus for Dubex business, that expects Dubex IRT to grow its customer base with 25-30% and the team with 3-4 people within the next year.

    The Dubex IRT runs monthly meetings, where focus is to discuss learnings and insights of incidents and handlings to continuously improve services, customer experience and collaboration across Dubex. Three times a week, the team in Professional Services gathers in (online) meetings to keep in touch, discuss workloads and share experiences, where new ideas and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged. Even though, there is great flexibility in terms of remote work, most team members prioritize to work from the office at least two days during the week.

    The manager

    You will report to Peter Sindt, the manager of Dubex Incident Response Team. Peter has been with Dubex for nearly 20 years and brings a wealth of experience within Incident Response and as Senior Cyber Security consultant to the team. He is known for his supportive and down-to-earth approach in his managerial role.

    Peter is the kind of manager who engages with everyone on his team at eye level. He actively promotes Dubex's values by encouraging individual curiosity and enthusiasm. In return, he expects employees to demonstrate responsibility and initiative, offering great flexibility. Peter is committed to maintaining a motivational workplace, fostering open dialogues with teams across the Dubex organisation. This ensures that expectations are well-aligned and helps prevent unnecessary stress and pressure. His focus extends beyond work; he also contributes to each individual's personal and professional development.


    The position

    As a Cybersecurity Consultant in Dubex Incident Response Team, you will be responsible for incident response handling and successful onboardings of new customers to Dubex' Incident Response services. You will also play a key role in the continuous development of IR phases and processes to ensure efficient incident response management.

    As part of a 24-hour support function, you will work weekly shifts together with two other colleagues, sharing the incident response handling workload based on calls coming from the Cyber Defence Center that helps set the IR team. Now, a busy week has 4-5 incidents, but this situation is rare. In the report to customers, you provide the necessary documentation with an overview of incidents, errors, and areas of actions.

    Dubex' incident response has a strong collaboration with the Danish police authorities as part of National Cyber Crime 3 agreement. Occasionally, you will be involved in digital investigations of incidents together with the forensics team, contributing with insights on events.

    In the onboarding of new customers, you will provide a thorough introduction to Dubex incident handling procedures. Furthermore, you will develop contingency plans together with the customer, where you address common threats and essentials of a good contingency plan. Your support to customers is based on a thorough understandings of the customer's specific needs and technical environment.

    You will be responsible for quarterly meetings with customers, where you ensure to follow up on incidents, reports, and the procedure manual for any necessary updates. At these meetings, you will address learnings and share the latest knowledge and insights that Dubex has made within the field. Therefore, your ability to handle customer requirements and facilitate an informative dialogue of available options and solution, are important skills that will provide you will great success.

    It is not expected that you know everything from day one, only that you bring a curious approach and are not afraid to take initiative to learn and develop your skills. Dubex invests greatly in certifications and training academies and provides great opportunities for acknowledged high-level courses within incident response and forensics.

    As cybersecurity consultant in Dubex Incident Response, you will get the opportunity to join a successful company in an exciting growth. In addition, you will become part of a highly matured Incident Response team consisting of highly skilled cybersecurity specialists.

    Primary responsibilities

    • You will be part of our Incident Response Team, responding immediately to security-related incidents and provide thorough remedial solutions and analysis.
    • Customer onboarding to Dubex' Incident Response services, where you secure a professional consistency through a close dialogue.
    • Document feedback and lessons learned from incidents and customer engagements, so that the team can benefit from this knowledge.
    • Assist with Incident management task, such as continuous customer communication and post Incident report development.
    • Assist forensics team in digital investigations and ensure the integrity of key data during incidents
    • Participate in our continuous maturity development of our IRT and forensics services and provide input to optimization of existing procedures.
    • Participate in quarterly customer service status meetings, where you will update customer specific Process and procedure manuals to ensure effective incident response process are documented.
    • During periods with limited Incident Response assignments you will help in our Technical Services with general consultancy assignments within you area of expertise
    • +2 years' cybersecurity experience from a similar role, where you have worked hands-on with incident response, security operations e.g., as a consultant or an internal function.
    • Strong technical understanding and experience with Microsoft cloud environments such as Azure and Office 365.
    • Good understanding of digital forensics and the protection of key data in incident investigations.
    • Professionally English skills in both writing and speech

    • Experience with EDR software solutions such as Crowdstrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender etc.
