- Product Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive NPD strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.Create product roadmaps and prioritize projects based on market trends, consumer insights, and business goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration between the NPD team, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless product launches.Act as a key liaison between departments, facilitating effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify gaps and opportunities in the food industry.Analyze competitor products, pricing strategies, and consumer preferences to inform NPD decisions.
- Recipe Development and Testing: Lead recipe ideation and development, working closely with chefs, food scientists, and other team members.Oversee product testing and refinement, ensuring products meet quality and taste standards.
- Project Management: Manage the end-to-end product development process, from concept to commercialization.Establish and monitor project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are optimally utilized.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all products comply with regulatory standards and certifications.Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain high-quality standards throughout the development process.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in NPD roles within the food industry, with a track record of successful product launches.
- Strong knowledge of food trends, ingredients, and culinary techniques.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
