About Sarah Eustace:
I am a positive, creative and enthusiastic person who enjoys learning new things and constantly developing personally as well as professionally. I have transferable skills and experience from coordinating teams in my roles as a nurse educator and manager. I am a team player, with the added benefit of 6 years of experience in team leading and management, among different staff groups, which has taught me to adapt to my circumstances as required. I value the importance of a collaborative team approach but am also comfortable working on independent projects. Some examples include policy-making and researching evidence-based best practice to implement in the hospital setting. I am always striving to be self-aware and aware of others to ensure good working relationships with my co-workers and to ensure a positive work environment. I have worked in hospitality and retail part-time – waitressing, bartending and sales assistant – prior to my 14-year nursing career, allowing me to develop my communication and customer service skills throughout a variety of settings.
The nursing profession has limitations to career development, and due to the emotional intensity of the role I find it is time for a professional change of career path for me. I have spoken to many friends about various careers, and have been keenly interested in the diversity of the marketing profession. The marketing profession is always evolving, and due to my adaptable nature from my years of nursing experience in an intense, fast-paced working environment, where relationship building with a diverse range of professional colleagues, patients and families, I feel it would be a great fit for me and a wonderful new challenge.
