Ensuring lines of communication are kept open and providing up to the minute information. I am responsible for management of our databases and liaising with candidates, hospitals and the HSE. I am adept in maintaining a positive work ethic under stress. This work, along with my previous experience, has given me expertise in communication, sales, customer service and systems implementation.

Experience

As a Registration Officer with the Medical Council I am responsible for processing the applications of hundreds of individual doctors each year. Ensuring lines of communication are kept open and providing up to the minute information. I have been working for the Medical Council for the past three years. I am responsible for management of our databases and liaising with candidates, hospitals and the HSE. I am adept in maintaining a positive work ethic under stress.

At the Gaiety School of Acting I was responsible for marketing the school’s programmes which fell outside the traditional remit of actor training and drama classes. I assisted in Communication outreach Internationally, the Corporate sector and the local Dublin community. I managed dedicated marketing and communications channels through email and social media.

At the Lir Academy at Trinity College Dublin, I helped to promote the academy’s range of short courses, processing feedback, updating the Lir’s website and social media and updating and adding to the invite list for the student showcase. My primary focus was communication with drama departments, theatre companies, venues and arts organisations. I was responsible for maintaining comprehensive records, and assisting with online marketing.

Education

2010-14, Queen’s University, Belfast

B.A Hons. Drama and Theatre Studies (Classification 2:1)

While at Queens University, I developed essential writing, critical thinking and project management skills that can be applied to a wide variety of disciplines.

When I look back at my education experience with directing, acting in plays and being friends with other arts specialists in college, I find that a lot of the skills developed from putting on plays in college are directly applicable to jobs in every sector.

From an education in the Arts, I have expertise in public speaking, people management, attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
