You have no groups that fit your search
My enemy the laptop.
Blink Blink
Glowing on the desk
Cursor mocking from screen
An electronic reminder of time spent avoiding
Not crafting
Sentences
Blink Blink
The laptop points out time sitting produces
Teacups filled and emptied
Biscuits eliminated, online “research” done
But still no paragraphic paradise
And damn few words saved
Blink Blink
Once upon a time
As stories start
I feared lack of ideas
Keyboard catatonia no forward gears
Turns out I’ve thoughts aplenty
but yet unshaped
They buzz about
Like cracked-up bees
All energy no focus
Blink Blink
Finally, urgently the fog clears
An enemy at the gates
A greater foe than the blank screen
Hard-core, hard-faced, implacable
It’s deadline time
Blink Blink
The clock don’t stop and neither can I
Into action
Keys pound
Words blur
Clarity comes
Triumph
Hit SEND
“Never again” the promise
Blink Blink
Ooh biscuits!
Time for tea
Blink Blink Blink
