About Hugo Silva:

I am a versatile creative professional with a strong background in graphic design, animation, UI/UX design, and motion design. Holding a degree in Multimedia Art and a wealth of experience in multiple creative fields, I excel in storytelling and visual communication. My international exposure and proficiency in various software make me adaptable and innovative. With two years of teaching experience and a current role as a product designer, I am not only a skilled creator but also an effective communicator and team player, eager to contribute to any creative project.

Experience

 

 Product Design Intern, PatientMpower, Dublin, Ireland. 06/2023 - present 

Engaged in the development of wireframes, design systems and prototypes alongside the UI/UX team. 

Aided cross-functional teams (UI/UX, and Developer) regarding the development and implementation of a comprehensive design system, completing sprints and contributing to a more cohesive and visually appealing brand identity across all platforms. 

Conducted user experience / UX research and usability testing with the UX Design team to identify pain points and improve app functionality; (Data analysis and user research collected by the enterprise data team in 3 different countries). 

Designed user interface (UI and interaction design) features for PatientMpower’s mobile app and web portal using the design and prototype tools in Figma completing milestones. 

Formulated and animated feature videos using the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects).

 

Multimedia and Informatics Assistant Teacher, ESMAVC, Lisbon, Portugal. 10/2022 - 01/2023 

Enhanced learning outcomes by implementing analytical interactive teaching methodologies, such as project-based assignments and varied content workshops on different fields; received high evaluations from teachers after the events. 

Developed and delivered a comprehensive curriculum for Multimedia and Informatics curiosity workshops, instructing 10 different software applications; empowered students to improve multimedia and informatics capabilities.

 

Visual and Digital Art Teacher, ESRDA, Lisbon, Portugal. 10/2021 - 08/2022 

Orchestrated improvement by road mapping an agile and comprehensive visual education program as the Visual Digital Art Teacher; guided students in honing artistic abilities and instructed in four industry-standard software applications. 

Transformed the subject’s curriculum; taught art theory, drawing, anatomy, color, and image editing (...); Students excelled in using four advanced software tools, resulting in enhanced sketch and design skill sets, and artistic achievements.

 

Motion Designer, Seward Productions, Goldcrest, QuMind, London, United Kingdom. 10/2021 - 10/2021 

Developed and applied a streamlined motion design, video production, and video editing workflow, reducing production time and enabling the team to deliver high-quality animations within tight deadlines. Maximizing time consumption while delivering 3 required videos. 

Improved brand’s imagery and implemented motion graphics for QuMind’s data collection and market analysis product, while providing services in 4 different fields, as a: storyboard artist, logo animator, motion designer, videographer, and video editor.

 

Graphic and Brand Designer, Seward Productions, London, United Kingdom. 03/2021 - 05/2021 

Drove the evolution of Seward Prodctions’s distinctive brand identity through innovative brand design management, cultivating a fruitful 2-year partnership with the producers and positioning the company for increased market success and value growth. 

Orchestrated impactful logo, brand design, motion design, and graphic design projects, elevating the company’s visual identity and design thinking while boosting professional development. This resulted in the employment of 3 more big clients for the company. 

Designed 4 custom posters for the company’s first documentary series, attending to the concept, illustration, typography, and layout.
