McLoughlin Transport a regional transportation, distribution and warehousing company based in Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim. Offering a variety of transport services such as next day pallet deliveries through a nationwide network to full loads. Our clients range from world-renowned international logistics companies to leading grocery and cosmetic brands, predominantly in the West and Northwest of the country.

Role Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking general operative to join our team. The role involves maintaining the warehouse and assisting with various ad-hoc duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations. Preferably this is a full-time role, however depending on the right candidate hours can be flexible and might suit someone looking for part-time work.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be involved in grounds maintenance, cutting, grass and hedges.
• Washing of various vehicles and trailers.
• General vehicle maintenance such as basic repairs and general upkeep.
• Ensuring a clean, safe and organised working environment both inside the warehouse and on the outside grounds.
• General ad hoc driving and small van deliveries.
• Performing additional warehouse duties as required to support operational needs.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred but not essential.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and use own initiative when required.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Flexibility to perform various tasks as required.
• Forklift license (desirable but not mandatory as training can be provided).
• Full clean drivers license (Category B).
