    Our team in Ireland currently has an opening for a Technical Sales Manager - Pharmaceuticals.

    This role can be located anywhere in Ireland.

    YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage an organisation's sales policies, objectivesand initiatives. Set short- and long-term sales strategies to be implemented bythe Internal Account Managers and by the Technical Sales Manager. Recommendproduct or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and salespotential.

    Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts,practices and procedures. Rely on extensive technical and sales experience andjudgement to plan and accomplish goals. Lead and direct the work of others. Awide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to Head of Sales –North Region. The successful candidatewill understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into thoseneeds and desires in an effective way.

    Responsibilities:

  • Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans byimplementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developingannual sales quotas for regions and projecting expected sales volume and profitfor existing and new products.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price bykeeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicatorsand competitors.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge byattending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; participatingin professional societies.
  • Sell to existing and potential direct accounts as wellas provide technical sales support to Internal Account Managers to facilitatein closing orders or to facilitate and add value to the selling process.
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climateand competition for his/her defined geography and accounts.
  • Develop, maintain and execute a territory plan.
  • Maintain data relative to accounts and activities andwill document customer interactions via SAP CRM.
  • YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree level education in Life Science or relevant commercial discipline is required.
  • Technical knowledge (Pharmaceutical quality &compliance)
  • Meeting Sales Goals
