    Job Opportunity for Care Assistants

    We have a new opportunity for Care Assistants to work in an individualised, bespoke service in Galway City. Our dedicated team provides support for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism across the city and county.

    Ability West offers a range of high-quality services including day care, residential care, short breaks, community supports, rehabilitative training, and multi-disciplinary supports. Our service provision is underpinned by our Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Strategic Plan, which aims to empower people with disabilities to live self-directed lives in an equal and inclusive society.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver person-centred care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide holistic support.
    • Develop and implement individualised support plans.
    • Support individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

    Requirements

    • ETAC Health Care Level 5 qualification.
    • Relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Full current driving license and access to own vehicle.
