- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and cost analysis.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and consolidate financial data for monthly and quarterly plc reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, budgets, and forecasts for the support functions.
- Assist in the review of junior team member's work.
- Support internal and external audit processes, working closely with in-Country finance teams.
- Monitor internal control effectiveness: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of existing internal control procedures. Monitor compliance with internal control standards and escalate any identified issues to management.
- Support internal and external audits: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and responses to audit inquiries. Collaborate with auditors to facilitate smooth and efficient audit processes.
- Mentorship and coaching of junior team members
- Cross functional collaboration with departments such as Finance Shared Services, Operations, Procurement etc. to continually develop and improve our processes
- Accountancy qualification - ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA qualified with PQE
- Must be numerate, analytical and have good oral & written communication skills
- Have hands on experience of modern integrated ERP systems & proficient in the use of excel
- Previous experience of working with non-Finance Managers beneficial
- Ability to work on own initiative and within cross functional group

A well known multinational (Dublin North) have a new role for a Senior Accountant to join their team in North Dublin for a permanent position with a flexible hybrid working model. In this role you will report in the CFO and will be able to utilise your Accounting and analytical skills and be an integral part of the team.
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, supporting the overall financial reporting process and measurement of internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and energetic environment, with a focus on robust internal control processes.
Salary for this role is up to €70,000, 15% bonus, pension, 25 days leave and flexible hybrid working model.
