    Description

    The primary focus of the role is to ensure complete, accurate and timely closing of the monthly and quarterly books for a number of EMEA & India Taoglas entities and successful completion of external audits. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, month-end management accounts preparation, financial reporting and assistance with statutory audits and local tax filings, monthly budget reviews with wider departments, management of accounts payable and VAT filings. This role will also require support to be provided, as needed, for various operational initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing monthly management packs for EMEA & India entities including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, accounts reconciliations, P&L analytics and other information requested by Group Finance.
    • Management of accounts payable for assigned entities.
    • Reviewing and assisting in the work performed by the financial accountants and AP assistants, including:
    • Bank reconciliations;
    • Intercompany accounts reconciliations
    • Preparations of VAT/VIES/P30 Returns etc.
    • Adhering to the RCF framework established and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Analysis of variances from budget with budget holders.
    • Drafting statutory financial accounts and supporting schedules for assigned entities.
    • Liaising with the company's auditors to ensure timely completion of all audits.
    • Liaising with the company's tax advisors to ensure timely completion of all tax filings.
    • Providing support to other areas of the business where needed with regards to financial aspects of each department.
    • Supporting the integration of an acquired company into the Group where required.
    • Preparation of annual R&D tax credit calculation.
    • Preparation of monthly projects profitability analysis.
    • Involvement in ad hoc projects as required.

    Desirable Qualifications and Skills

    • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA – preferably Big 4/Top 10 trained
    • Strong technical skills and experience
    • Highly organized and efficient person
    • Self-driven and assertive with excellent stakeholder management skills
