    Key Responsibilities

    · Direct management of a small team of 3-5 direct reports (Project Managers, Cost Estimator(s) and Scheduler(s))

    · Lead virtual cross functional Project Solution and Development teams of as many 20 in early project development (Pre-FEED) through FEED and project approval.

    · Responsible for safety, quality, and operational excellence via efficient process design.

    · Drives continuous improvement in safety, reliability, cost, quality, and productivity.

    · Recruits and develops project and project development engineers.

    · Displays a quantitative, fact-based approach to decision making, problem solving, and resource management.

    · Ensures that COMPANY's project offerings are the most competitive in the industry.

    · Collaborate with COMPANY Executive Leadership, other senior management, and stakeholders to ensure the department's deliverables support business goals.

    · Successfully complete all required trainings.

    · Travels occasionally (20% expected) as needed.

    Key Requirements

    · BS in Chemical Engineering, materials science, chemistry and/or related major

    · MBA or Mater degree preferred.

    · Familiarity with Front End Loading (FEL) project development work process

    · Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification

    · Experience in both rapid growth environment and productivity improvement/cost reduction

    · Participation in industry standard-setting organizations such as example CGA

    · Experience in the manufacture or use of ultrahigh purity materials supplied to the semiconductor industry.

    · Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.

    · Strong safety and quality skills and mindset; ability to drive positive safety and quality culture through actions and behaviors.

    · Superior understanding of financial metrics including ROI, IRR and Total Cost of Ownership.

    · Ability to understand market dynamics in emerging and maturing products.

    · Familiarity with all engineering disciplines pertinent to specialty chemicals (i.e., Process, Mechanical, Process Controls and Civil Structural Engineering)

    · Ability to perform well under pressure and frequently changing priorities.

    · Superior problem solving and decision-making skills.

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    ·10 or more years' experience in Project Development or Project Management

    ·5 or more years' experience managing engineers, including preparation of performance appraisals to direct reports.

    · Strong mentoring and influence skills

    · Strong knowledge and experience in preparing Front End Engineering Design (FEED) packages, plant startup, and commissioning.

    · Strong knowledge of applicable codes (IFC, IBC, NFPA 30, API 520/521, etc.) and consensus standards related to hazardous materials manufacturing, usage, and storage.

    · Strong creativity and leadership for problem-solving

    · Demonstrated skill and experience hiring and on-boarding high-performing individuals.

    · Demonstrated superior management and leadership skills, including the ability to influence subordinates, peers, and superiors through fact-based communications based on mutual respect.
