Description
Cluster Sales & Marketing Executive (Fixed Term - 6 Month Contract)
Reporting To: General Managers
Location: Maldron Hotel Smithfield and Maldron Hotel Parnell
Objective of the Role:
The role will involve working as part of the sales and marketing team to actively promote and sell the image and services of the hotels in addition to the Dalata Hotel Group. This role will involve the maximisation of revenue and achievement of agreed sales & marketing targets.
The successful candidate must have excellent reporting and analytical skills to ensure achievement of KPI's and must have the ability to effectively organise, manage and prioritise their workload in a fast-moving environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· To work with the General Managers to identify, solicit and convert new opportunities in all market segments in accordance with the hotels yield management objectives.
Corporate
· To manage an agreed list of accounts on behalf of the hotels and be responsible for the development of the revenue levels from these accounts. To recognise and capitalise on all opportunities from these existing businesses; to maintain them to their optimum level.
· To constantly recognise and develop new accounts from the local corporate markets.
· To participate fully in all sales activities including tele sales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, social events, promotions.
· To ensure the accurate processing, distribution, and recording/filing and follow up of all sales correspondence, including the execution of contracts, quotations, confirmations, cancellations etc.
Meeting & Events
· To assist with the promotion of special events such as M&E, Christmas Parties and other special events as required.
· To carry out regular competitor research projects as requested.
Marketing
· To maintain regular research on competitor websites and update management on new ideas and promotions. Produce a competitor set for all our specific markets: corporate accommodation, conference, events, small meetings, weddings, leisure, etc.
· To continue to work on developing and enhancing the website content, working with Dalata Group Digital Marketing team to increase the brand website share.
· To monitor and develop business coming through the websites.
· To work on developing a calendar of interesting and creative ezines for the hotels that will generate new business in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing / Sales & Marketing Manager and Group Digital team.
· To develop the hotels social media profile and achieve necessary KPI's through strategic activity plan in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing / Sales & Marketing Manager and Group Digital team.
· To co-ordinate all advertising and print material for the hotel in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing / Sales & Marketing Manager adhering to brand standards.
Requirements:
· To have at least 1 years' experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector.
· Reactive sales experience is a must with proactive sales experience desirable.
· Demonstrate creativity and enjoyment in social media and marketing.
· Proven knowledge & success with online marketing channels such as PPC.
· Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills – able to work on own initiative
· Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
