    Christmas Appeal Temp Administrator (6 weeks - 37.5 hours)

    Location: Dublin

    Salary range: €35,275.62 per annum pro-rata / €18.09 per hour

    Experience: Educated to Leaving Certificate level/ Health and Safety Training & Manual Handling Training

    The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) is a large, national, voluntary organisation with extensive experience of working with a diverse range of people who experience poverty and exclusion.

    We are currently looking to recruit a Christmas Appeal Temp Administrator to join our East Regional team in Dublin.

    This is a temporary position for six weeks, working 37.5 hours per week.

    About SVP:

    SVP employs people to support volunteers in a variety of settings including housing, community care, shops, administration, and other specialist areas.

    We have a strong commitment to social justice and advocate the creation of a more just and caring society through our network of over 12,000 volunteers and 700 staff.

    Our annual appeal attracts gift cards, vouchers, toys and food from donors across the East region (Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare).

    The Role:

    The post holder will have responsibility for providing administration support to the East Regional office team for the Christmas Appeal 2024.

    Key responsibilities include:

    1. Providing administrative support to the East Regional office team
    2. Supporting the processing and distribution of donations
    3. Assisting with stock control and reconciliation
    4. Communicating with donors and volunteers via phone, email and in person

    Candidate Requirements:

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    1. Education to Leaving Certificate level
    2. Office administration or secretarial qualification an advantage
    3. Previous experience in administration and a busy office environment
    4. Ability to work in a warehouse/order fulfilment setting (desirable)
    5. Understanding of financial controls and reconciliation (desirable)
    6. Excellent IT skills, including Excel and MS Word
    7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    8. Health and Safety Training & Manual Handling Training
