    Who we are looking for

    We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Management Control team in Dublin, working closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) Manager. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver with a can-do approach to work, eager to learn, loves a challenge and enjoys seeking out solutions to complex issues. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets to extract valuable insight and meaningful information for presentation to management.

    The Financial analyst is a core member of the Finance team, providing essential support to the FPA Manager and the wider Finance team in the areas of planning, data management, decision support and financial reporting. The Financial Analyst plays an integral role in management reporting, variance analysis, KPI reporting, scenario modelling, forecasting, and budgeting. The role is key to providing analytical support to the entire Finance team and wider business to assist with informed decision-making.

    What you will be responsible for

    Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

    · Provide support to FPA manager in the preparation and delivery of the annual budget, long range planning and production of regular rolling forecasts.

    · Ownership of purchase dept. and business line expense monitoring, reporting and forecasting process.

    · Critically analyse P&L results against plan, forecast, prior periods and other key performance metrics. Identify and investigate underlying drivers of variances.

    · Support FPA Manager in preparation of quarterly financial pack for presentation to Board.

    · Assist with construction of financial models and development of reports/dashboards to track and analyse historical and projected spend and revenue trends.

    · Support wider Finance function with month-end close process.

    · Work closely with management on key projects, with a strong focus on process automation and optimisation initiatives.

    Education & Preferred Qualifications

    · Third level qualification in Finance/Accounting or other quantitative discipline.

    · 2+ years' experience in an analytical role, preferably within a Finance function.

    · Pursuing / interested in pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).

    · Experience working with financial systems, ideally Oracle Financials and Oracle BI Answers.

    · Strong technical skills with fluency in Excel e.g. functions/formulas, pivot tables, macros. Familiar with or interest in business intelligence tools advantageous (e.g. Oracle BI, Power BI).
