    Responsibilities

    We are looking for an IT Analyst - System Administrator within our IT department.

    The Role:

    In this role your purpose is to deliver excellent customer service in system administration and to proactively develop and maintain I.T. services to support business objectives. You will have daily interactions with your System Admin team colleagues, your System Admin team leader, as well as with vendors and sister companies. Equally you will support and be supported by the other I.T. team leaders. The employee reports to the I.T. Manager.

    The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter. You possess a service mentality and are capable of juggling priorities as needed to assure business continuity. You provide quality support and possess excellent documentation skills. You are competent at "becoming the technical expert" through your own research and knowledge gathering. You have an appreciation of how systems integrate and interact throughout the organisation – you have an appreciation of the operation of complex IT landscapes. You are a strong communicator, with a confident appearance. Working in a group environment, you are flexible and demonstrate good teamwork.

    Key Elements of the Role:

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


    • System management of Windows servers (including Domain controllers, Application servers, File Servers etc.)

    • Patch & Vulnerability Management (e.g. MECM, WSUS, Microsoft Defender)

    • Management of AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy

    • Management of software deployment to clients (MECM)

    • Support escalation point (from helpdesk)

    • System Documentation

    • System and Security reviews

    • File services (DFS, NTFS etc)

    • Management of legacy applications when needed

    • Administration of nominated business applications when needed

    Qualifications, Requirements and Experience


    • An IT or equivalent qualification with business experience

    • Experience in Windows system administration

    • Experience or knowledge of IT security in an ISO framework

    • At least some knowledge of powershell scripting

    • Some experience with backup systems, ideally with Veeam Backup & Replication

    • In addition, experience or knowledge of the following would be advantageous:

  • MS-SQL, SQL queries, Transact SQL scripting, Interface development, SSRS reporting
  • VMware administration
  • System management of cloud-based services (Azure)
  • SharePoint or Web front end experience
  • German Language skills
  • #LCC
