    Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe.

    We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

    As our international organization expands rapidly and becomes more complex, so too does the regulatory and legal environment.

    We are therefore setting up a new team to partner with business, legal and compliance teams to implement and deliver content and safety regulations, execute legal and regulatory obligations and monitor compliance.

    The Regulatory Delivery and Transparency (RDT) - Content Safety function aims to be the strategic partner of TikTok departments, starting with Trust & Safety (T&S) team, working in close partnership with relevant Legal and Compliance teams, to best address content and safety regulatory requirements applicable to TikTok.

    The team will facilitate the execution of regulatory projects across critical departments (including Trust and Safety, TikTok Product, E-Commerce, Monetization) with a forward focus mindset for continuous improvement.

    This role will play a critical part within the team, with responsibility for programme management and the ongoing monitoring of relevant regulatory obligations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Programme manage large scale regulatory and legal obligations impacting content and safety such as the Digital Services Act and Online Safety Act including the following:
    • Lead and oversee large cross functional regulatory compliance projects from scoping through to completion
    • Plan and drive execution and delivery to adequately prepare for upcoming regulatory obligations
    • Coordinate Trust & Safety and cross functional resources, assess capacity of assigned resources and adequately plan deliverables for the project to ensure timely delivery
    • Oversee and manage ongoing obligations
    • Ensure timely delivery of information required to comply with Requests for Information and other regulatory engagement; ensure contribution and review from relevant teams.
    • Be responsible for controls and assurance for content and safety regulatory regimes: working in close partnership with the Content and Safety Compliance team (particularly in relation to audit) including the following:
    • Be responsible for control monitoring, investigating deviations and assuring the effectiveness of the controls
    • Implement and track recommendations by internal and external audits
    • Contribute to risk assessments and implement and track risk mitigations identified as part of risk assessment processes.
    • Support the redefinition of T&S processes and metrics in a scalable manner, to best effectively implement regulatory obligations into existing teams and processes
    • Communicate with and update senior leadership teams in partnership with Legal and Compliance teams on status of projects, compliance gaps, decision-making and priorities

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Experienced leader in risk, control and project management with relevant experience in people management.
    • Leadership experience ideally within the technology or internet industry.
    • Proven achievements in the planning, coordination and execution of complex strategic initiatives across multiple geographic regions with the ability to execute at a tactical level and complete project implementations.
    • A proactive and problem-solving mindset. You are curious and are constantly striving to improve the world around you.
    • Proven capability in data analysis; ability to draw insights from a comprehensive point of view.
    • Excellent ability to communicate, perform and react well under pressure and ambiguity, with senior leadership.
