Are you a car driver interested in supporting young adults with disability to live an active life and engage in activities in their community? If you like activities such as swimming, horse riding, GAA, and the gym your interests will match this client.

Dovida is recruiting a support worker to work part time over weekends with a young adult in the Stillorgan area. This is a community-based service.

The support worker shall be lively and enthusiastic and shall:

• Collect the client from their home and drive them to their agreed activity

• Support the client to engage in the agreed activity

• Provide the client with support to manage their anxiety and behaviour

• Support the client with their personal care

Whilst experience working with autistic clients, persons with anxiety or those who may have responsive behaviour is very advantageous, full training will be provided in working with autistic adults, crisis prevention and intervention in addition to our standard caregiver induction process.

This role may suit a social care, psychology, nursing (mental health / ID) student.
