    Established in 1952, TOBIN is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy practice operating in Ireland. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Hydrogeologist to join our team in Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Sligo or Castlebar.

    Job Summary

    This is a full-time role with hybrid working options, offering the opportunity to work on various projects and contribute to the growth of our team.

    Responsibilities

    • Liaise with Clients to deliver environmental reports, surveys, and associated outputs, as directed by the Project Manager.
    • Organize field surveys, liaise with clients and landowners, and undertake fieldwork under the direction of senior specialists.
    • Procure Site Investigations and Site Surveys from third parties.
    • Review documents and drawings.
    • Prepare and review environmental reports.
    • Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs)/Planning & Environmental Consideration Reports (PECRs) and Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screenings/Natura Impact Statements (NISs).
    • Directly liaise with peer reviewers, legal reviewers, clients, etc., to agree and finalize deliverables to the required standard.
    • Participate in Open Days/Evenings and Public Consultation Events.
    • Assist Project Managers in preparing tender responses.
    • Take instruction from Line Managers and relevant Project Managers and senior team members.
    • Maintain a CPD Plan and Register.
    • Meet agreed Performance Appraisal Goals.

    Requirements

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Strong fieldwork ability and surveying skills.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Teams.
    • Knowledge of GIS software packages such as QGIS, ArcGIS, and MapInfo.
    • AquiferTest, Modflow, LandSim, P20, and other relevant software packages.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
