    Financial Accountant – Citywest

    Our client, part of a multi-national group, seeks a part-qualified or finalist financial accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be planning to qualify within the next 1-2 years and will receive a study package and hybrid working arrangement.

    The role involves providing professional support services to facilitate efficient operation and contribute to long-term development. Key focus areas include:

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Assist with month-end processes and monitoring.
    2. Prepare and issue monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, profit margin, and variance analysis.
    3. Perform intercompany reconciliations and reporting.
    4. Assist with quarterly and annual group reporting.
    5. Provide budget and forecast updates annually.
    6. Conduct overhead control and analysis.
    7. Assist in tax return preparation.
    8. Support statutory account preparation.
    9. Review asset valuations.
    10. Process asset sales and purchases.
    11. Authorize invoices, payments, and electronic submissions.
    12. Liaise with auditors and address queries.
    13. Undertake ad-hoc reporting duties and projects as needed.

    Requirements

    1. Ongoing studies for a professional accounting qualification.
    2. Experience in practice, industry, or financial services.
    3. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
    4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
    5. Meticulous attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
    6. Strong communication skills.
